No cycling weekend in Mallorca would be complete without conquering the island’s most iconic climb. Our journey begins with the steady ascent of Coll de sa Batalla, winding through the heart of the Serra de Tramuntana before reaching the famous monastery at Lluc.

From there, we’ll descend the spectacular ribbon of tarmac to Sa Calobra, one of the most celebrated roads in world cycling. With its dramatic hairpins, towering cliffs, and breathtaking Mediterranean views, it’s an experience every cyclist dreams of.

After a well-earned pause by the sea, the challenge truly begins as we climb back out of the bay. The ascent of Sa Calobra is a bucket-list climb that rewards every effort with unforgettable scenery and an immense sense of achievement.

A ride to Cap de Formentor is an essential part of any cycling trip to Mallorca. Often described as the island’s most spectacular road, this unforgettable route winds its way along dramatic cliffs, through fragrant pine forests, and out towards the northernmost point of Mallorca.

The rolling terrain offers a perfect blend of flowing climbs and exhilarating descents, with breathtaking views of the Mediterranean around every corner. We’ll pause at the iconic Es Colomer viewpoint before continuing to the famous Formentor Lighthouse, where the road ends and the sea stretches endlessly to the horizon.

Whether it’s your first visit or your fiftieth, the ride to Cap de Formentor is one that never loses its magic—a fitting addition to our celebration of 50 years of Basso Bikes.

We’ll finish the weekend with a ride to one of Mallorca’s most historic and rewarding climbs—Puig de Randa. Leaving the northern coast behind, we’ll head through the island’s peaceful countryside before reaching the ascent to the hilltop sanctuary.

The climb is steady and enjoyable, offering sweeping views across the Mallorcan plains before culminating at the Sanctuary of Cura, perched high above the island. It’s a place steeped in history and the perfect setting to reflect on an unforgettable weekend of riding.
