Our mission when we started planning cycling holidays in the Dolomites was simple. To provide the best cycling experience for cyclists who want to achieve the ultimate summits in cycling.
This July, Mallorca Cycling Holidays visited the Dolomites to create a new collaboration for the summer 2023. We wanted to offer you the opportunity to discover and fall in love with the beautiful Italian Mountains in an area known as ‘The gateway to the passes’.
Come Cycling in Italy with us!
Where do you stay?
Hotel Melodia del Bosco is located 1315 m above sea level in the very heart of the Alta Badia region, surrounded by the stunning Dolomites. With incredible views and stunning mountain scenery it will take your breath away even before you start the first climb.
Food
The day starts with a delicious breakfast with a wide choice of sweet and savoury food, also you will have the choice of hot food served to you at the table. You can fuel up with lots of energy to get ready for a busy day of cycling.
Dinner is an incredible experience and caters for all palettes and dietary requirements. Precise and efficient with taste and beautiful presentation your tastebuds will be very satisfied. Upon entering the dining room, a salad bar awaits, but it is much more than just a buffet. You can choose from a wide variety of vegetables, finger foods and fruits. The salad bar alone would be enough for a complete dinner (but not for all cyclists!). You will follow your appetiser with a stunning 4-course menu with a vegetarian option. On a personal note we loved all the food, the only problem was that our stomachs didn’t have enough capacity to eat everything!
Wellness, relax, recover and ride again.
Recharge and relax after a long day on the bike by choosing from the Finnish sauna, the steam bath, the herbal sauna or the infrared sauna; wash away your weariness and take it easy on the waterbeds. Stretch your muscles in a fully equipped gym or help your body to recover with a massage. Quite simply you have everything you need to recover before taking on more incredible cycling in the Dolomites.
Bike Hire
If you would like to hire a bike the hotel is equipped with Basso Bikes. Specifically the Astra model which is the perfect companion for cycling in the Dolomites. With Shimano di2 disc and 50/34 chain set and a choice of 32 or 34 cassette, you will not run out of gears for the toughest of climbs.
